Any suggestions on how to remove small spattering of paint from holster leather?

Don't want to chance on damaging the leather, so I thought I would ask before I started applying chemicals.

I would try Saddle Soap available at like fleet farm or a place that sells horse stuff. I had leather seats in a car once and tried lots of diffrent leather cleaners but the one that really worked was the stuff the horse people use to clean there seats.

Sorry. No advice on what to use, but be careful not to soften the leather too much.

I invite all suggestions, but I know I do not want to use saddle soap. Saddle soap will soften which is something that a person does not want to do to a boned holster.

Saddle soap is good for saddles and stiff boots, but most custom holster smiths warn about it's use on their holsters.

I need something to clean the surface and not soak in to weaken the holster structure.

Might try a product called "goof off" available most anywhere.

Next time you buy me lunch I could be talked into bringing some along 8)

This thread says try rubbing alcohol. Try a small spot on the backside first.

I've had good luck with "Goof Off" too. Test in hidden spot. Use in small amounts with a tooth brush.

PS: Stand Up Wind when painting those pepper poppers next time.

I would try some a wet wash cloth and wrap the wash cloth around a puddy knife. Wet the area and than take the wash cloth puddy knife and lightly scrap the paint specs.

Goo-b-gone might work also. Let us know what works Cobb.
