i have to wear tucked in shirt at work and looking for a good iwb holster that totally conceals, any suggestions please

i would suggest looking into a crossbreed supertuck. you can conceal anything shy of a hilton garden inn with them.

whats the difference between j clips nd standard etc. do i need a clip at all?

Congratuations. The Crossbreed and Comp-tac MTAC IWB holsters are tuckable and well thought of by many without going into the realm pf higher end leather.

But honestly, depending on what type of pants you wear and your build, pocket carry might be pretty doable. The PM/MKs are a bit shorter and offer use of a 6-round mag. But I could easily do a P9 in many of my pant/short pockets.

I also just tried on my buddies new MTAC. It was very nice, allowed tuckable carry. It had two clips that seemed to spread the weight pretty well. The only downsides are that the two clips are more visable, but still pretty un-noticable. Addtionally half of the holster is kydex, if you like kydex then you are good to go.

The clip holds it to the belt, with IWB you will need some sort of clip, because the belt can't really go through the holster.
Standard goes all the way around, like a normal belt clip.
J-clip goes up over pants and behind the belt. A small hook catches the bottom ot the belt. This puts a lot of weight on the pants and very little on the belt. If you wear dress pants they will likely sag.
C-clip is like a j-clip but has a tab on the top to put some weight on the belt.

V-clip (uses a special or modified belt with velcro.) The belt sandwiches the clip and there are no external signs of a holster. They are tricky to get on and off from what I have heard, but provide near TOTAL concealability.

I use V Clips and LOVE them. The belt from thebeltman.com wasn't cheap but it's sturdy and does its job.

i use one j-clip and one v-clip on my crossbreed. the velcro on the inside of my belt doesn't go all the way around. the thing is sure sturdy. i've done cartwheels (or something similar older out of shape guys do) and it didn't move at all.

I have the "The Workman" in brown leather, constructed by Mitch Rosen for my Kahr P40. I bet it would work for the P9. Its IWB and tuck-able. I would sell it for a reasonable fee.
