Itasca Co. investigator faces 33 child sex abuse countsAn investigator with the Itasca County Sheriff's Office became the subject of a criminal investigation.
Tuesday the sheriff's office received a report of an allegation of child sexual abuse involving Greg Snyder, 43.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension launched an investigation and Snyder turned himself in.
Friday, the Cass County Attorney's Office filed 33 charges of charges of first, second and third degree criminal sexual contact.
According to the criminal complaint, the abuse started when the victim, who was born in 1991, was 13 and continued until this month.
Snyder is being held by the Cass County Sheriff's Office on $500,000 bail.
The sheriff's office also put him on administrative leave without pay.
Snyder has been an employee of the Itasca County Sheriff's Office for nearly 20 years.
