I haven't sourcechecked, but on another forum someone had mentioned that they got fired not just for the beating, but because this video is from a couple years ago.

The tape went to court at the BGs trial, and footage was missing. Up until then no one knew the beating had taken place, not even the BG (obviously). The court asked where the rest of the footage was, and it was found out some cops had censored the trial tape, and they got in trouble for that.
