A Cleveland police officer was nearly shot early today when two other officers mistakenly opened fire on him, police sources said. While officers were searching the house, "shots were fired by our officers," Stacho said. Sources said officers surrounded the house and entered from the front and rear.

An officer in the front spotted a gun in "someone's" hand and ordered the person to drop the gun. Two officers fired multiple shots and did not know the man with a gun was a fellow officer, sources said… (Ambushes are "L" shaped for a reason. This is a case of sloppy tactics.) Apparently they shot at someone they could not see well enough to identify. Know your target is a rule, no?
