One of these days they are going to bust into an innocent house and the owner is going to put a .300 WinMag or similar into one or more of them. And then retaliation/return fire from the SWAT team and one or multiple innocent people will be dead or gravely injured.

That's not a mistake. That's gross negligence piled on gross negligence.
If only police departments had high-tech tools like radios and telephones. They could have called and asked for the address!

What possibly could have been so urgent that calling for an address or at least calling for one of the undercover guys to show up and point out the correct house. Or a plate number on the truck parked out side, or a better description of the house. Just seems incompetent beyond words

From the way the article was written I thought that Inspector Horne was implying that this was but one of the "thousands of operations they do a year" (Philly Police). Maybe I interpreted wrongly.
Maybe they can explain their actions as just enthusiasm.
Or maybe their mantra is........GET SOME...GET SOME

Just seems incompetent beyond words When questioned, Lieutenant William "Bull" Conors of the Special Services department explained: "You've got a much better shot at them kicking in the right door if you tell 'em to look for a big thing like a truck than little things like house numbers. My guys get confused over that kinda stuff."

Joel, does that mean that these guys can't read. Maybe they are just the bullies who used to push kids around in grade school because it was the only way to get attention and respect..........certainly their grades are not going to get any attention.
