Quote:
Tampa, Florida - The Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office held a press conference at 10:30am regarding the deputy who can be seen on video dumping a man in a wheelchair onto the ground.

A positive note for the department:
Quote:
They've announced that Deputy Charlette Jones has been relieved of her duties without pay pending the outcome of an investigation. She has not officially been terminated.

And, a decent pubic response:
Quote:
Chief Deputy Joe Docobo added at the press conference this morning, the sheriff's office will now try to "make things right for this gentleman."

Isn't that one of those paradoxes?

That video is gonna COST them some big bucks.

There is no IQ nor common sense minimum for a job in law enforcement. That's obvious every day in every place.

Years ago I was looking at being a LEO as a full-time career. A number of agencies wouldn't touch me because although my vision is 20/20 with lenses, it is slightly worse than 20/100 uncorrected (could be permanently corrected via Lasik, but I'm too cheap at the moment).

Apparently a vision deficiency outranks a mental or emotional one in cases like this deputy.

The lack of civility towards another fellow human being is truly disturbing. I have a hard time comprehending the fact that we walk around in public surrounded by people that might have a similar mindset.

Society is circling the drain.

That would depend on shape, color and who it's attached to.
