Wow... congrats.. Please call the sherrif and Deputy David Bellow and thank them for their expedience. I'm sure it would be well received with all of the people bichin about how slow they are.

Congratulations! That's pretty good for Dakota County.

Only a couple of problems, one my permit is dated Feb. 10. Which means it sat at the County for three weeks before it was mailed to me. Second, since it is a renewal my understanding was that the expiration date should have been 5 years from the original expiration date, not the "approval" date. Also, my permit is not signed by Sheriff Gudmondson but by Chief Deputy Bellows.

Yup, they screwed up. Call and ask for a corrected permit card.

If someone were to carry on a permit signed by a Chief Deputy and not the Sheriff of the county -- And had a LEO encounter -- Would the officer(s) be able to (or make the attempt) argue that the permit is not valid because it was not issued by the Sheriff - They may think it is a "fake"? -- After verifying, all would be fine, but upon a officer seeing their "first permit NOT signed by the county Sheriff..."

Just curious.

Thats the reason I carried two permit cards for the last two years. One had the Sheriff's signature but the incorrect DL# on it and the other had Chief Deputy Bellows signature and the correct DL#. I'll be sending an email on monday to get the date figured out.
