Centre County, PA turnaround for me was nine days.

I submitted NH back on May 10th, still waiting.

Go with PA, instead. I'll be doing a supplement for that, shortly, if you don't want to google it for yourself.

When did you apply for the PA one? I think I'll go that route too, hopefully they're not backed up now like NH

Does anyone know if NH will be honoring the old price for applications postmarked before the new price increase?

My understanding is yes... I've seen numerous posts on other forums from folks that had talked w/ New Hampshire and confirmed this.

Regarding a possible future issue with the PA permit... As I understand PA law, a sheriff CAN accept an application by mail, but doesn't have to. As far as I know, Sheriff Denny Nau in Centre County is the one in PA that does accept apps by mail. So, whenever it comes time for him to leave office, PA might not be an option anymore.

Just something to consider....

Yup. It's also worth figuring out how to make it clear to other sheriffs, across Pennsylvania, that Sheriff Nau is making money hand over fist by issuing $26 permits at negligible cost, and see if there's ways of getting other sheriffs in on grabbing buckets while it's raining soup.

GOT NH TODAY!!

Going up to ND this weekend, and was lamenting not being able to bring anything with me. I even called yesterday and got the recording saying that they are processing apps from the first weeks of March. I applied first week of May. Maybe they are clearing the backlog?

I'm Jealous! I applied in early April, and still nothing.
I applied for a PA permit about 3 weeks ago and received it in 9 days.
