I have lurked around here for about a year and finally took a class and applied for my permit. Dropped the application off on June 1 and the permit was in the mailbox today. I was totally shocked to see it that soon. |

Just because someone IS a "Sheriff," doesn't mean they h-a-v-e to be a jerk. They renewed my Washington state permit at the Sheriff's Office in Tacoma in less time than it took me to fill out the form. |

My Arizona permit was three business days door to door, with an FBI fingerprint check. (Hand delivered on a Monday, in the mailbox late Thursday). I'm apparently not the only one, either. From their website: http://www.dps.state.az.us/ccw/default.asp 2007 Congratulations to everyone in the Concealed Weapons Permit Unit on receiving the highly coveted Director's Unit Citation Award! Imagine that. A CCW department that wins awards. |
