Obama's plan to curb gun violence:

http://www.change.gov/agenda/urbanpolicy/

Quote:
Address Gun Violence in Cities: As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.

Maybe it's time to consider some sort of anonymous swap meet where TCC members could buy, sell, and or trade firearms without paperwork. Before "the one" can start changing things.

Wow! What good common sense ideas! Why didn't someone think of those before? I feel safer already.

I have another idea, why not make it against the law to be a criminal? That way all the problems go away, not just gun violence.

Make the AWB permanent?

I think someone should tell Obama that we tell him what to do, he doesn't tell us.

Ronald Reagan said it:
"Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government with three little words 'We The People'. We the people tell the government what to do, It doesn't tell us."

How about...
if your minor child commits a felony, you lose your rights to welfare, food stamps, and WIC.

Fathering children out of wedlock WITHOUT making child support payments becomes a felony.

Stealinga firearm and using in a capital crime is the death penalty.

If it had been, I would have voted for him.

Maybe we could use a few "assault weapons" in the right hands in Chicago.

By the way, the Obama Machine has removed that page from their web site.

Now, it says, "The page you requested is not available right now."

Maybe Obama IS a pragmatist who CAN learn the limits of sound politics.

The gun owners who wouldn't vote for McCain (and thus stayed home) could easily have have made up 4% of the electorate.

The gun control stuff is back!

http://origin.barackobama.com/issues/urban_policy/

About 3/4 of the way down the page.

******************************************************
The Brady Campaign is convinced that the Heller case victory has lulled the STUPID mebership of the NRA into believing the lies spouted by Obama ("I support the Second Amendment ... ."). They may be right about that.

The Bradys will be pushing the Obama Administration to keep it's earlier anti-gun promises.
