Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.

I guess they don’t know that in 99% of the country there is no registration of firearms. Unless, of course, they only intend to hire people from Chicago. Either way, if I had an employer put this before me as a condition of employment, I’d be out the door so fast I’d leave a vapor trail behind me. The New York Times has more.

I was about to say, "Registration?" WTF is that?

If you read all seven pages of the NYT document one can see why certain very skilled people just choose not to enter public service.

Yup, it's important for them to know who has guns and who doesn't...but they make no mention of any drug-related offenses. Interesting parallel there, considering one's legal and one isn't. (Also one isn't a fireable offense, and one is)

But Obama wants us all to be employees of the State. It is trickle down vetting. First they vet the "right" administrators to run the program and then they'll get about federalizing every major industry & finally, the tax breaks given to businesses the Feds own will break the backs of the private businessess and then . .. . we'll have eutopia because everybody will be employed (by the government) and there won''t be a need for those nasty civil liberties because everything will be "fair".

With all the shady people Obama had relationships with and his admitted prior drug use, it is very likely that he would not have gotten a security clearance. To overcome that, all you have to do is win a presidential election. Hmmm....
