Does Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, or Mao Zedong come to mind when you review this?

Turn closed military bases into training centers and emergency shelters? Where is the problem?

This looks like a way the government could save money by not building new centers and infrastructure...

There has to be something wrong..

They are in basically proposing to set up camps for the general population to "protect" us in the state of emergency. The government could send you or I to one of these camps whenever they see fit.

Don't you see anything wrong with the idea???

I see a lot wrong with that idea, but that idea is NOT in the bill I read.

It's fine until they set up the delousing stations and try to decontaminate your clothes with Zyklon B.

I think I'd prefer the metrodome to one of these places.
And the only way I'd have gone there during Katrina was horizontally.

No thanks. I think I'll not go to the camps for my safety and comfort.
