Greetings,

I have put about 500 standard 9mm rounds through my XD-SC. A few weeks ago I tried to put a magazine of Hydra-shok rounds through - I got a jam every other round?

Do not have this issue with my full size XD.40 or my Sig - did I get a bad-box of rounds or am I trying to put the wrong type of tactical ammo through a SC?

Thanks in advance...

I have not had a problem with the Hydra-Shok or the new stuff without the post in the middle with XDs. That would include 9mm (3", 4", 5") or .45 ACP (4"SC, 5").

I shot a couple IDPA matches with 9mm and .45 XDs using this ammo.

Having said that, ever gun is different and it might just not work in yours. I have a friend who's XD 4" 9mm won't shoot WWB.

I was at the range a few weeks ago with my uncle. He brought his new XD 9mm. It jammed twice with some cheap FMJ ammo. Then he switched to Rem FMJ practice rounds and it was fine. I wish I remembered what the stuff was that jammed! sorry!

Before I lost them while boating, I had two XD's, a .45 Service and a .40 SC. They both fed everything I tried except lead SWC. On the XD Forum I read the XD's failure to feed wadcutters is a pretty common thing.

...UPDATE...

So I tried a new round in the 9mm XD SC tonight...something called Pow R'Ball - used both mags and put a full box through along with another box of FMJ's. Not one hic-up, jam, stop, etc. I love my XD again! Here is the link if anyone is interested...for what it's worth...Bill's actually sells it cheaper than I found here on-line! http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product ... s_id=75482
