Looks like a S&W Model 66. It sure looks like a keeper and how does it shot :?:

Just picked her up yesterday. It was a hot one. The store had just purchased it from the previous owner and still had the receipts out for the transaction. Didn't even see the inside of the display case!

I've read reviews. I'll experience very soon.

I've got a King Cobra which, I believe, descended from the Trooper. I like mine better than any other .357 I've handled.

I'm assuming it's nickel plated? Looks in great shape.

I would try and find a pair of orignal wood grips for it if it were mine.

I had a Python for a couple of years. I liked it enough. The only thing I worried about was the free-floating firing pin breaking. Back when I was a reserve police officer on the left coast it was mentioned that once in awhile that happened.

Nothing like a 6-inch Python or Trooper in a Hoyt break-front holster. :D

Edited to add: Followed up by a Smith Model 27.
