Has anybody seen any of the new Kel-Tec PF9's in town yet? I have been following the Ktog.org board the last few days and it sounds like some have hit the streets. It's looks like there are a few minor issue's/growing pains that have been encountered.

Squib_ Joe are you out there to enlighten us?

I have a P11 I never shoot - it always worked, but I've never really liked it.

I'm a Moonie all the way :P

I carry both a P32 and P11 all the time. I have not found a PF9 any where around the twin cities. :)

We're on the list to get them as soon as they're available. I haven't seen one .. yet.

Anyone in the cities purchased one of these yet?

If so, how do you like it? I've got a P3-AT I carry when I need to "conceal deep" and think I might like this new little bugger.

From what I have been reading on the Ktog.org board the PF-9 has had many problems. It sounded like they had sent out 100 or so to start with and most have ended up going back to Kel-Tec for repair due to a host of issue's. It will be interesting to see how long it will take for Kel-Tec to iron out the bugs and start releasing them back into the market.

I'm going to bring this post back from the dead.

What's the status of people seeing PF-9s for sale in the Twin Cities now? If you've seen any, were they only blued? Any parks or chromes yet? Regarding any flavor, what retailer and how much?

Thanks,

I'll bring this thread back from the dead.

I was just browsing around today and saw a Kel-Tec (not sure if it was a P11 or PF9) at Gander for $249.

Can anyone comment further on either? I don't really care about how it looks or if it's fun to shoot...but I like the idea of a small 9mm in that price range.

My P11 is my most carried primary during the summer. It also uses the same mags as my winter primary a S&W 6946 so same mag carrier. It is a very reliable gun and easy to shoot. The trigger gives a good surprise trigger break and you have second strike capability (which is nice but not mandatory in my book).

The PF9 is the single stack version with a different trigger system than the P11 which is suppose to be like the P3AT/P32 trigger. It has a small light rail on the front which is a waist IMHO on such a small gun. It should be better for pocket carry with single stack but the slide are almost exactly the same.

Either gun will do the job and the best price on the PF9 I have found is 279 and mostly in 299 so if it is 249 buy it. :D

jhp, what Gander did you see it at? I was at the E.P. store this past Wed. and all that I saw in the way of Keltecs was the P3AT.

It was the St. Cloud store...but like I said I'm not sure if it was a P11 or PF9.

I'll get back there and check it out.

I've seen the P3AT at $249 (Gun Stop, Gander Woodbury, etc) but not the 9mm.
