Was interested in either the new 686P or the new 386--love the new 7-shot opportunity! Stopped up at Bill's last night before the IDPA league and they actually had a couple 686's (Joe's didn't). That is a major piece to haul around all day! I am sure it shoots great but I bet carrying it takes some thought...and a significant belt!
So I am thinking about the new 386 Sc/s (Scandium/Steel), which weighs about the same as my current Taurus 85, which I carry all the time and is very convenient (21 ounces). I am sure it will have a much greater recoil with the .357, but at least it can be carried. I carry many more hours than I shoot. The problem is, no one seems to have one or have seen one. One place told me that they don't think S + W is even making them yet. Has anyone seen one or held one yet? Any info would be appreciated!

I don't know what a S&W 386 is but if your looking for a 20 oz. 7 shot revolver and your not against owning a Taurus, I have a Taurus 617 Titanium that is working very nice for me. See it in the Gun Porn just added.
It's a breeze to carry and shoots very accurately for a 2".
This revolver is a pleaser to shoot compaired to the S&W 360.
