Not yet, I'd like a 1911, and that's a bad arsed deal. I'm just having trouble justifying it to myself. After all I do have 4 carry guns and .45acp is just so damned expensive to shoot.

Personally I would pay a couple of $ more (maybe no more than $25), and by the Taurus. I've heard many very good things about their 1911's. Lots of features only found on $1000 guns.

Of course, the finish on the Springfield is a bit better and for ~$100 you can add the beaver tail and hammer.
But I DO like my PT1911. it shoots as well as I'm able to aim it, it is comfortable to the hand, and it has all the features I wanted for much less than I'd have to pay elsewhere. I think my next step is to have it Duracoated.
