I was having the same problem with my Taurus 85,the only way I could get the reload done with the HKS was to make sure I didn't insert the rounds very far into the cylinder [just past the bullet].

Today I bought a 2 pack of max fire speedloaders, they are completely made of rubber and have a finger loop and a flat side to aid in positioning them close enough to the frame to line up correctly with the cylinder.
Where the HKS's seem to rely on the small amount of wiggle to align with the chambers, the Max fire is staggered and you don't have to turn any knobs you just pull straight away in a scraping motion. They seem to work very well and they were 9.95 for a 2 pack at J+S guns in Lakeville [the new ownership seems more friendly].

I have some of the maxfires since they were the only ones making speedloaders for my 8 round Taurus .357. They are ok for the range, but IMO they don't retain the ammo securely enough for any other purpose.
