Anyone know where I could find one? Sounds like a copy of the Keltec P3AT according to a lot of what I read.

Ruger has a reputation for being reliable. Maybe those that had problems with Keltec can try one of these?

They just announced it this week. It might take a couple days to get them delivered to the dealers.

Ruger in the past has had a long legacy of introducing firearms that are very slow to make it to market, THis does seem to have changed a bit lately and TWO very important changes are the Press release for the new .380 which clearly states that the firm had wrongfully ignored the sea change toward civilian CCW and this was a first attempt to change that, and the second is the less announced but more welcome release of factory 20 and 30 round magazines for the mini 14/30 class of firearms.

I see this as the first move of the management to displace the damage done by Bill sr and jr in the last years of seeming to be against the very clientele you are servicing.

I'm putting in a call to my FFL to see what he can do.
If anyone sees one at a store please let me know.
I've tried Gun Stop, Frontiersman, Gander, Sportsman's warehouse, On Line stores.
Came up with a big ZERO.

I think it took a couple weeks for the SR9 to actually hit dealer shelves. IIRC less than a month.

Just be glad you're not waiting to see a Ruger Gold Label. It's been a couple years since they announced those and I still haven't seen one in person.

Word from Ruger is that they start shipping March 1st of this year.

SR9 may just convert me to 9mm . .. . gonna be a bit til another pistol . . .. Still trying to get my long guns back from MPD.

"On the shelf" LCPs are a couple of months out, maybe more. I'm getting a dozen calls a day for this gun. Good news? It will be under 300 bucks.

Sounds interesting. Never heard of a frame being constructed of glass filled nylon. I am guessing this is a gun you won't want to shoot the heck out of. Take it out of the box makes sure it goes bang a couple of times and then hope it works when you need it.
My next Ruger purchase is going to be that ugly duckling Charger.

I think most of the plastic guns like Glock, Keltec, and others are glass filled Nylon. Some may be Talc filled too.
One thing I do know is that Nylon is a hygroscopic material. Moisture acts as a plasticizer reducing the tensile strength, stiffness, and increasing elongation and impact strength.
So keep your plastic pistols out of the rain

Try the clothes washing machine. The spin cycle gets all the big chunks off.

It depends on the nylon used. I have nylon dock lines on my boat, and twice a day they are sitting in salt water then pulled out as the tide changes, I have never had a nylon dock line fail from exposure. I have had them fail from chaffing or snagging but never from sunlight degradation or moisture collapse.
