Thanks to the evil folks at Gunstop, who were willing to sell one to me:

Nice!

Looks similar to the one in your avatar, except that one is hammerless.

Well, there's a certain family resemblance, but the one in my avatar is a .38 -- S&W 642. This sucker is a .45 (ACP, although I'm told it'll take Auto Rim, not that there's a lot of that running around).

ETA: and it shoots even better than it looks.

Very spiffy. I tend to lean towards pistols and 1911s but keep thinking I need a revolver one of these days and something .45acp seems like it could be a good compromise. Does the JM stand for Jerry Michulek?

Yup. It's got the grips he designed, and the sights that he specifies.

And with this gun, I shoot just like he does. Except much slower and less accurately. Much.

(It's really very accurate, and points very nicely for me. But ...)

Great choice Joel.

If I needed or wanted a 45 gun, the JM 45 would be my choice. 8)

Congrats, I thought that Cyl looked. . short and fat. Is that a Tritium front sight and a blade rear? Or is that a fron fiber optic? LOVE the grips, those are pretty!

It's a gold bead front sight; adjustable rear.

Must take some serious cargo pants to hide that gun in a pocket.

I wouldn't be bothered by the pink, but not pearl. I'm not a, err, management professional in the sex work industry.

I've got a fair amount of auto rim for my Webleys and 1917s if you want to try some.

Tom C can reload us some more, since I save the brass.
