I carry a Springfield Armory 1911A1, "GI" model. I too, like the 'slimness' of a 1911A1. The 1911A1 is a time tested and proven design.

The only downfall to a 1911A1, is actually a plus: You can have it your way, and can put an unreal amount of money into em'.
Squeeze trigger, BANG, repeat. Kind of boring, but I never cared for drama.

- XD45c IWB if I happen to be wearing clothes that disguise it's blocky square slide.
I like my carry guns with no safeties that I have to remember to disengage.

Most of the time it's a Glock G22, Springfield GI.45 1991A1, Taurus M85, KT P3AT, NAA Mini or a 6" GP100.

Edited by me to fix a typo. yeah thats why im such a fan of the 1911 models they are a very proven gun and they last a very long time check out the para ordnance 1000 round challange on you tube that todd jarrett did its crazy 1000 rounds in 10 min and 44 sec and after the gun cooled off by the end of the day they put another 4000 rounds through it without any ftf's

Dress-up events or activities that require a little more discretion - Kel-Tec P-3AT.
Just picked up a Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle .380 as a possible sub for the Kel--Tec, but haven't shot it yet.

I haven't yet had the chance to try one of the Para-Ord LDA triggers but I'm looking forward to test driving the OP's Tac-4 soon*
