Generally, for me, it's a S&W 642 in a pocket holster. Upon occasion, I've been known to carry a Ruger SP101, S&W 65, 669, 625JM, 325PD, or a different J-Frame than the usual 642; Taurus 431; Kahr PM9 or P40; Springfield XD; Makarov, or H&K P7 PSP. Very rarely, a Series 80 converted to .45 Super, a Kimber Pro Carry or Ultra Carry, a 1911 Frankenstein set up for industrial-strength 10mm, or "the Flare Gun" -- a cut-down Ruger Redhawk .44 snubby.

Glock 19 most days for me.

SA 4" 1911 w/ aluminum frame and wilson 8 round mag in a tuck clip leather IWB from side guard holsters.

I'd really like more capacity, but I don't want to give up the comfort of a slim 1911.

I was thinking of a guy whose nick ends in G19 who is looking into 1911's now and recently sold his G19 :-)

Of course, when I first started, the XD-9 was my dream gun. I've owned a couple and sold them both because my needs and tastes had changed.

Welcome to our new member, I was just lightly teasing.

It could even be jealousy since that gun is on my someday list :-)

Who me? Technically I still carry a Glock, its just bigger. G21. The 1911 is what my fiance has grown to like, and it'll mainly be so she gets more involved in shooting. (don't think for a second that I won't carry it from time to time though!) Its scary being down to one pistol right now  , to be remedied shortly.

But yes, my username is now officially obsolete. The G19 has been sold to a good home I think. Welcome, to the OP.

:) I really, really like the 642. Except as a plinker. It sucks as a plinker.

I carry a Springfield Armory 1911A1, "GI" model. I too, like the 'slimness' of a 1911A1. The 1911A1 is a time tested and proven design.

Edited by me to fix a typo.

Squeeze trigger, BANG, repeat. Kind of boring, but I never cared for drama.

- Kahr MK9 IWB, sometimes pocket, and very occasionally OWB in a pretty Nossar Gunleather holster.
- S&W 642 in the pocket.
- XD45c IWB if I happen to be wearing clothes that disguise it's blocky square slide.

I like my carry guns with no safeties that I have to remember to disengage.

Hey welcome. Most days for me it is the Makarov.

Most of the time it's a Glock G22, Springfield GI.45 1991A1, Taurus M85, KT P3AT, NAA Mini or a 6" GP100. 8)

yeah thats why im such a fan of the 1911 models they are a very proven gun and they last a very long time check out the para ordnance 1000 round challange on you tube that todd jarrett did its crazy 1000 rounds in 10 min and 44 sec and after the gun cooled off by the end of the day they put another 4000 rounds through it without any ftf's

Daily carry is a Springfield Armory Micro Compact 1911, or rarely a Glock 19.

Dress-up events or activities that require a little more discretion - Kel-Tec P-3AT.

Just picked up a Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle .380 as a possible sub for the Kel--Tec, but haven't shot it yet.

As the name implies, usually a Para Ordnance P-14 Limited.
But I have been known to pack a Browning Hi-Power 9mm, or a couple of times when wearing heavy clothing a Dan Wesson 357 mag 6"bbl
and once - just for fun and only for a short time - the 357 in a shoulder rig and the P-14 in a Desantis thumb break and a Ruger MKII in a crossdraw.

I haven't yet had the chance to try one of the Para-Ord LDA triggers but I'm looking forward to test driving the OP's Tac-4 soon*

*The OP is my nephew - welcome to the forum Trav.
A lot of good people on here with a vast wealth of knowledge on carry issues and guns
