Shameless plug and invite for anyone who needs something to do May 30th. My band (Visceral) is playing a 90-minute set opening for Psychobabble at GB Leighton's Pickle Park in Fridley.

If you ever needed even more of a reason to laugh at ol' Mark, here's your opportunity!

We play a range of music, but focus mainly on 90's and modern rock (Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters), with a few rocked-up oldie's mixed in.

I do NOT know how carry-friendly the venue is. I don't open carry on stage, so problem solved for me.

I must say, it's quite fun to pelt Mark with airsoft pellets while he tries to play.   Well worth the cost of admission.

Just remember that I'm holding what equates to a very large wooden club, and it's attached to a bass rig that may just induce a bowel movement if I turn it up.

Yes, I like my low end.

I used to mix sound for a band in England and the Bassist was a right hander with a left hand Strat bass. If anyone tried to jump up on the stage he would waltz over to them and whack them on the noggin with the down turned machine heads. Several times it made a bloody mess of the head of the Bozo, but the bouncers (event security) would get them out of the way pretty quick.

I love it!

Back in my sound mixing days, I got to dodge a mic stand thrown by Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), but I never saw a musician actually smack a person.

My 5-string has a mahogany body, so I'm thinking it might be just the thing...

Ah Hell, why damage your instrument?
The case is probably more than big enough to handle a bazooka

Many years ago I was at First Ave when some drunk kid tried to get onstage with the 'Mats, Tommy Stinson just clanked the guy on the side of the head with a beer bottle. Bottle never broke, but the kid dropped like a puppet with the strings cut. Band never missed a note.

Remind us a few days before the gig. I have a hard time scheduling anything further than a few days out.

That's good practice...he may need to do that to Axl Rose in his current gig.
