I have a son in childrens, and visiting him requires me to be there at odd hours. Of course this wonderful hospital is posted. But since I am technically renting a room for my newborn son isnt the posting non-compliant ie landlord. Just curious I carry anyway If they wonder why go outside after dark.

Good point. If it is a shared room no... single maybe.
Anyway just carry and don't tell/show anyone.

believe me, the basic staff is not going to bother you about it, I would keep it concealed and covered and you will not have a problem

I forgot to add, best wishes and prayers for your little one, Children's is a special place in our lives for keeping my daughter alive, if there is a place you want to be when the worst is happening, Childrens is the place.

I second that. The Children's hospital system is the best around. Hope your son recovers quickly.

Just make a good attempt to conceal there and you'll be fine. I've spent many, many, many hours in Children's and other hospitals in town with no issues. As 1911fan indicates, even if you show by accident, you're unlikely to have issues, particularly if you're there a lot and the staff recognize you.

I did carry the little guy is doing great. He came home today. He was born may 5th with transposition of the great vessels and after a minor(hAh hah hah) open heart surgery and 2 of the longest weeks of my life he is home. And the prognosis is for a long healthy life

Andrew,
Is that an old sign? Call me unobservant, but I've been into Fairview SD countless times in the recent past and haven't seen that sign.

I took the picture in 2003. If they've taken it down, more's the pity. Is the hospital posted now?

I don't think so. I haven't scoured every entrance though.
There are some other hospitals that ban but avoid posting the entrances off of the general public parking ramps. They still have street level and employee parking entrances posted.
