Not to hijack this thread but can you elaborate?

Gander kicked out independent instructors who used to be able to teach carry classes at Gander locations, bringing in new eyes and dollars, in favor of in-house, $12-per-hour instructors of unknown quality.
At the same time, they welcome the (zero-profit) classes in their stores to be taught by volunteer outsiders.
Jerks.

Wanna hear the over priced part? I stopped in last night for S&G and they had a "Sig 220 8rnd single stack 9mm parabellum" for $359, or how about a USED Glock G21 with a 6" hunting barrel, the OEM barrel, and a cheap red dot for.... (don't have anything in your mouth while reading this) the low low price of $949.00!

By the way, I'm going to weight in on this in the morning, I'm the one who asked Warp to post this here. I thought it to be pertinent to MN Carry Issues being that bAss pro shops is opening a store here by the MOA.

Personally, I don't think the metro can support another big-box sporting store.
However, if I ever found myself in this situtation (even though I don't OC). I would quietly and politely inform the manager that Cabela's, Gander, Dicks, or Sportsmans Warehouse would all be happy to take my money.
There have been anecdotes like this floating around the gun forums for years, I never really considered BPS to be gun friendly.

I didn't think Dick's would last too long.
I don't buy guns from big-box stores, so what they carry doesn't concern me as much as what they allow me to carry while I'm there.

My quick .02
The store has the right to ask me not to carry openly. I will comply.
I have a personal policy and right to not do business with them. On this I will also comply.
IIRC the Gopher Bar did not like carry at one time. Today open carry buffet breakfast (with coneys) is a re-occurring event many of us look forward to.
