Just picked up my new, and by that I mean previously unissued, P7. Obviously, it is in outstanding condition. Came with 2 mags, brush and tool. Found a some what local guy selling them on Gunbroker. Made the nice drive down to Waterville to pick it up. I will post an update once I shoot it. Total price: $770 out the door, including tax.

A couple of questions as I'm not familiar with any of the H&K stuff. Is that a grip safety on the front of the grip, and where is the mag release? Is what looks like the head of a screw the release?

The lever in the front of the grip is the squeeze cocker. Squeezing the lever cocks the pistol eliminating the need for a double action trigger. The squeeze cocker is also the slide release. The mag release is in the butt of the pistol.

Thanks Andrew for fixing the pictures.
And to MNBud, exactly what Dee wrote.
Now for the important stuff, how it shot.
WOW was the first word that came to mind. I am not a great shot and I know it. However, with this pistol, I am much better. I put the first 16 rounds into the 8 ring on a 25 yrd standard target at 50 feet. I tried that with my Glock 19 and was not close. Out of 16 shots, only 8 were with the 8 ring, 5 more were within the 6 ring and on did not even make the 5 ring.
Additionally, the P7 was very easy on double taps. It is quite heavy, so felt recoil seemed minor vs. the Glock.
It does get hot. The trigger area, barrel and slide got very hot after 35-40 rounds in quick succession. Glad I brought my 22 rifle to do a new magazine function check.
Overall, a fantastic gun. I am very happy. Now I need a new rig. Will have to call Srigs shortly.
