I cringed when this started. Matthews was so "all about the gun" that I thought the man was simply going to be a prop for an anti-gun rant' by Matthews. I suppose he got on the show because of the open carry showing, instead of because of his perceived eloquence. Matthews was surprised, I think.

I'm glad the guy didn't fall into Matthew's traps to de-legitimize his position.. (who he voted for, position on Obama's birth, Presidental assassinations)

Mathews: "Was your gun loaded today?" Mr. Kostric: "Umm....wow" Three cheers for that guy. Well spoken, concise, honest....that was great. Man, that Chris Mathews can be really aggravating at times. Seems like he just yells and shouts and talks over whoever he is interviewing. And those two fools in the video that Nickel pkg posted....oh my.

Holy crap, some of the people over at Fark.com are having a really hard time wrapping their heads around this: http://www.fark.com/cgi/comments.pl?IDLink=4568846&startid=53508407Here's an example: Quote: It was also loaded! What if it went off and the bullet hit some child? what if some real nutcase ran up and stole it from him and started shooting people? What was he afraid of? Someone going to run up and steal his wallet?
If he thinks he can stand around and stop crime, I wish he would just cut it out. We have police for that. If the gun is an extension of his penis, he just needs to get castrated. Guns are dangerous and we already have enough hazards in this world without people like him adding to it.

Can we just pack up 90% of the folks on that thread and ship them back to jolly old England? Please? -Mark

When Matthews started haranguing him about the "history of guns and Presidents" I was hoping he would have responded with
"Do you know the history of journalists and distortion? Walter Duranty, perhaps?" Should we tie you to them, simply because you both are journalists?"

with that holster, I think this guy was looking for the media, and good for him.
