Woohoo — free lunch and a mobile shooting range, and it's right on my way to work. I'll be there!

Went last year on a Friday and was there maybe an hour. Ran into 3 people that shoot IDPA at Faribault. 8)

Weird: the page doesn't work in FireFox.

I also use FireFox, no problem here.

You can't use the range unless you are a LEO.

Even if I have a Carry Permit Holder badge? ;)

Ah. An overly broad adblock filter was catching the whole center section.

No surprise:

I was in there about 3 weeks ago and while talking to the guy helping me, I told him I was looking forward to the mobile range. He knew I was not an LEO and did not indicate I could not use it. He just told me to show up early.

I went to that show last year and asked, they said no only LEOs because of insurance reasons. maybe it has changed or maybe the other guy lied to me.

I sent an email to info@streichers.com asking for a clarification.

Several people on TwinCitiesCarry.com have been discussing Steicher's
Days (http://www.streichers.com/specialpage.a ... ichersDays)
and the mobile shooting range. A recent comment noted that the range
might be limited to LEO's. Since I'd hate to invite my dad and
friends out there to shop and shoot and etc only to be turned away,
I'm wondering if that is the case.

Is the shooting range limited to LEO's?

the dreaded reply:

It will be for POST-certified, active LEO's only with current credentials.

Unfortunately, it is out of Streicher's hands: Range Systems had to have the permit issued by the city of Plymouth - and Plymouth is issuing this requirement.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

I was going to say that! :)

Oh well. I'll go anyway, just to eat & shop, since it's right down the road from my work.
