I am extremely interested! It would be fun....

That would be a blast! We should definitely do it. As I mentioned on another thread, I have no space, but if we can find a space, I'd be glad to bring some of my gear and help some folks make holsters (and hopefully learn from some of the other guys here).
What say you all?

Me... Should we make a new thread or just add our names here?

I'd certainly be interested in that.

I need to stop by Tandy this week anyway - I'll ask them about the possibility of a class or letting us have a meeting there. I'll try for a Saturday and find out available dates and let everyone know.

One of my students just got a new holster -- made by his co-worker -- for his Kel-tec P3AT.
I'll be asking this craftsman to join us if he's interested, once it's scheduled!
(That's a stack of Post-it notes in the second picture, to show how the wallet-shaped back only attaches to the gun part near the muzzle. This allows the gun to be gripped properly before drawing. Clever!)

Just got back from Tandy - very accomodating folks. I ask if we could have a holster class (meeting) at their store. To make it easier on them I said I would give the class (I hope I'm not stepping on anybodys toes). They said we could have a Saturday afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00. The downside is they only have room for 6-8 people at a time.
I also was clear with them - in order to make a pattern for a holster you need a handgun. I wanted to make sure they were ok if handguns start appearing. I promised them all handguns would be well trained, unloaded and the people handling them were permitted. They did ask if we could keep all firearms wraped in plastic.
So... we just need to come up with 6-8 people and agree on a Saturday and we can make this meeting work

I am interested, let me know when the only bad weekend for me is 27/28 January.
Thanks for doing the legwork.

I could be in. I need the date and I will try and make it work. Guns wrapped in plastic? Like suran wrap?

I'm in. Let me know the weekend.
As far as the plastic, yes, I'd say Saran Wrap would work. It's what I used when I made my current holster, to keep the gun dry whilst I molded the wet leather around it.
