If you are NRA certified in other discipline, you use to be able to do it through an NRA home study course for a NRA range Safety Officer. Maybe that has changed, but that is what I did about 3 years ago.

They just recently also offered the handloading course by home study and a written test that has to be submitted.

Sorry Tom, I know you have to feed your habits, but I just had to tell them.

Truthfully, the IDPA Range Safety Officer class that I went through was more in depth than I even think the NRA course would be, and I have heard the same about other shooting sports.

Self certification rocks, I did PPITH and Basic pistol with Tom and was able to do RSO, both reloading and RTBAV through self certification.

Forgot about the RTBAV by home study, I did mine and paid much more before they offered it by home study. :(

China, look in your NRA materials from the instructor class you should have al the info for self cert in RSO, reloading and Refuse to be a victim.
Cobb is correct an NRA instructor can do these as take home.

Let me know if you can't find the info and I will post it.
