I spoke with my wife last night about food, she is thinking about making a pan of brownies tonight for the weekend. Are the brats and buns covered or should we pick some up, we could also pick up something from the deli.

Ron
Since I am coming a longish way w/o a cooler, let me bring buns/chips but not brats (worried about spoiling)...

There is a grocery store right in Cokato if you are interested in picking up brats and stuff there.

Stopped at the store this evening we will have brownies (home made), snack bites beef sticks, string cheese, paper twls, paper plates, bottle water and some pop. I'm thinking about getting potato salad tomorrow before we leave. Is there anything else needed?

I'd love to go, but I've got a sister coming into town, and I'm booked up with family stuff. (I'd invite her along, but it would be, err, very much not her cuppa tea.)

Come on down! Heck, if I can drive nearly 200 miles for some good fun, you can take a brief tour from the Cities to meet fellow Forum'ers!

Jon and I plan on being there at least from about 10am to about 7pm ... stop over and say Hi...and make some noise and holes!

PS: Open Carry is NOT ALLOWED ! (just kidding!....just trying to get Bruce or reaver3 to appear in "protest" ! )

Just one more note on the Adventure to Cokato.

I know that some folks are planning on bringing different guns to exercise. I am 99.43% certain that the feeling of sharing will be prevalent and that folks can try some models they might be interested in shooting before going farther down the purchase path.

In talking with some folks, I know these guns are planning on attending..

Glocks...at least the 26, 19, 17 and 21

Beretta 92's

Bersa's in .380 and 9mm

CZ 75 and Kadet

Springfield 1911

Springfield XD9

some snubbies...Taurus 85 w/laser and S&W 442

some revolvers...Taurus .357 and S&W .357 (model 686)

some rifles...AK's, AR's, semi-auto Tommy Gun...I suspect at least one Mosin

Plus whatever others that might come choose to bring for the common exercise!

Bad men aren't the end of it.

Boy do I hate to do this. :( :( :(

I have to cancel out of Sunday.

My mom had her hip replaced this week and is now home. I have to get home more than usual to be able to help them out.

Dad is finally now getting his first rest in 5 days. He will be needing as much help as my mom over the next couple months during her recovery.

My best wishes to your Mom -- and Dad, and to you. I hope that when this is rescheduled I'll be able to join all of you, as I couldn't have come this weekend.

I am thinking around the 4th of July weekend.

As it is, work is supposed to be closing the doors for the week, so .......

Let the ideas begin.

If we are looking at dates, the 15th of July works great for me (that is a Sunday)...or either the 21st or 22nd.

The weekends of June 30/July 1 or July 7/8 do not work for me.
